Ivo took this one, the rest are mine.
Some photos from the Tustin RVCA demo last a few weeks ago. Leo ripped. Keegan ripped. Footage to come soon.
Here is a video demonstrating the HTC Touch TouchFLO technology. Notice the similarity to the “Cube” transition effect which you find in Apple’s Keynote application. Special thanks to Juned for taking this.

We had a great time chatting with people at the 2008 Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco last week. Here is a list of questions people approached us with during this show…
What do you do?
We enable people to share Excel files online. Instead of emailing files back and forth, users can upload a spreadsheet, invite users to share it, and collaborate as a group in real-time. All changes are recorded and available for review. Learn more at the eXpresso web site.
How long have you been around?
eXpresso emerged out of an enterprise software company about two years ago. Alpha version was released in April 2007 and Beta followed in August. In March of 2008, we shifted from beta to general release.
Where are you located?
We have teams in the US, Europe, and Asia, but our main office read more »
If you came by our booth at the 2008 Web 2.0 Expo, saw eXpressoMan, or got a live demo, please leave a comment and tell us how we did and what you thought. Thanks!

This is my first officially released theme. I wanted to go with a fixed width design, but I wanted the top section of the page to feel fluid and fill the whole page. I started with the lotus flower image that I tweaked to match a blue color scheme, and from there I was inspired to do a frosted glass pane for the body.
It’s a two column, widget enabled, XHTML & CSS compliant template that integrates seamlessly into any Wordpress installation (version 2.0+). It’s uncluttered, frosty, and fresh, and it’s really fun to click on the shiny RSS buttons.
I can also port it to any other color - lotus picture and all - so leave a comment if you would like to see it in another color scheme.

Blockbuster, the video rental store, announced that it has started selling games and consoles at all of its U.S. stores, according to the Industry Standard.
The funny thing is that I thought all Blockbusters did that. I remember buying Super Metroid at my local Blockbuster when it was sold out everywhere else, but I guess, the company is putting more emphasis on that side of the business.
Should the might Gamestop be concerned? Well, not right now, I don’t exactly equate Blockbuster with video games. On my list of stores, they’re way down with the likes of the Ashby Station swap meet and those funky mom-and-pop stores you see in San Francisco.

Ubisoft announced today that a new Prince of Persia game, currently titled Prince of Persia, is in development with a release target of “Holiday 08″ for the 360, PS3 and PC, with a DS version also in the works.
The press release says it “is opening a new chapter in the Prince of Persia universe,” whatever that means. Possibly a franchise reboot since it also suggests the gameplay and art styles will be different this time around. It’s nice to see a developer take a risk and shake up a successful franchise, Tomb Raider Syndrome is all too common.

Well, a couple of more hours and it’s Grand Theft Auto IV time. And I think I’m coming down with a fever. I just visited my doctor and he’s diagnosed me with GrandTheftAuto-itis. Oh man, I have it really bad.
Cough, cough. Apparently, the only cure for GrandTheftAuto-itis is Grand Theft Auto IV. So on doctor’s orders, I’ll be at the midnight launch in Berkeley. Sorry Danny, I don’t think I’ll be coming into work tomorrow. Anyone else being diagnosed with GrandTheftAuto-itis? In June, I’ll probably get MetalGearSolid4-aphelia. Man, these video game viruses hit hard.
On a side note, Guinness World Records released a couple of “records” that the franchise holds. Here they are in no particular order:
First Full “Sandbox” Action-Adventure- GTA III
Biggest Selling Game of 2001- GTA III
Biggest Selling Game of 2002- GTA: Vice City
Best-selling Playstation 2 game of all time- GTA: Vice City
Best-selling PSP game of all time- GTA: Liberty City Stories
Largest in-game soundtrack- GTA: San Andreas
Largest Voice Cast in a video game- GTA: San Andreas
Most Guest Stars In A Video Game Series- Grand Theft Auto Franchise
Eh, there’s a bit of trivia there that could win a couple of bar bets. Some of them are subjective like “first full Sandbox Action-Adventure.”
