Battlefield: Bad Company Early Demo Codes Giveaway

29 05 2008

The much anticipated game demo for Battlefield: Bad Company, a first-person shooter utilizing DICE’s bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, will be available on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 (I’m looking at you Valentine!) on June 5th. Those people that pre-ordered the game have been given early access to that demo starting today, one week earlier than the regular masses. The demo includes both single player missions and also multiplayer options as well.

If you are quivering in anticipation about Battlefield: Bad Company so much that waiting seven more days to play this demo simply isn’t an option, I just happen to have a few codes sitting here that are itching for some fast and furious shoot ‘em up action. These codes will get you in the demo today so if you are interested in this opportunity, just leave a comment on this article and the winners will be randomly selected this afternoon around 3 pm PDT. That way you can get online tonight and flash your exclusive status to your entire, soon to be envious friends list. When people start messaging you asking how you are playing the demo when it isn’t available for another week, just send them a message back saying, “I love Hawty McBloggy”. Because you do, right?

Codes will be sent via email so make sure the email address you enter when leaving your comment is correct. I’m hoping some of you that win codes will want to check it out with me on Friday night. I promise I won’t kill you, unless you are on my team of course.

UPDATE : Codes are for the North American region only. My apologies to people that aren’t in that area.

Hexagon created by Sound Waves (video)

Here is a scaled down version of the Saturn hexagon. This was done by soundwaves, but I hardly think that sound could travel the distance of “4 earths” like the NASA video above.  So this hexagon was created with sound and standing waves. Very short video (about 15 seconds). Sound is loud, watch your speakers.

Sound […]

Saturn Hexagon “4 Earths wide” (video)

I had forgotten about this picture that was in the news for a couple of days last year. What the newspapers and most websites showed was just a still image. However, the NASA site did have a time lapse movie of the phenomenon. Someone uploaded it to youtube and added their comments. Although on earth, […]

Alien Speech in NASA Radio Signal (video)

Chalk this one up to a natural sound captured by the Cassini space probe. However, the creator of this video believes that there is alien speech in the signal. I did take the original sound as suggested by the author and transpose the pitch using ACID. I was not able to reproduce the effect. Like […]

World Golf Tour (flash game)

Because “Business 2.0″ magazine went out of business, the publisher decided to finish out my subscription with copies of “fortune”. I found this little gem in the pages of “fortune” magazine. Here’s the deal. Right now, this site is in BETA. Their plan is to add real golf courses to their site over time. It […]

Hands-off with the Chevy Volt hydrogen concept powertrain

GM spliced and diced a Chevy Volt hydrogen prototype and put it up for the world to see at this year’s 2008 CES. Rocking GM’s fifth generation fuel cell stack en-lieu of a regular gasoline engine, we wouldn’t hold our breath seeing this before the electric version drops in 2010. Peep the gallery below for the full run-down.

Cut in Half Illusion (video)

I don’t know if you can copyright an “illusion”. But according to wikipedia Steve Fearson sold the rights for this trick to David Copperfield (real name: David Seth Kotin)
This trick was invented by Steve Fearson, inventor of the “floating cigarette”. He later sold the rights to perform the effect to David Copperfield. Copperfield is the only performer […]
